Some frequently asked questions answered

What about my domain name and hosting?

I can host and publish your website on your chosen domain name.

Your first year of hosting and domain name is free get you online immediately. A small annual fee is usual after the first year.

If you already have a domain name, I can use that.

What about my brand?

Your websites can be designed to match your logo and brand.

What will you use to build my website?

I build websites on WordPress as it’s one of the best platforms to use. Whilst template based websites are relatively easy to use (once you know how), they just cannot compare to WordPress. WordPress is the largest content management platform there is so it’s no surprise that one in every four websites are using it. It’s more SEO or Search Engine Optimisation friendly and that’s important if you want to be found!

What is Search Engine Optimisation?

If you look for ‘eyelash extensions in Bristol’ in a search engine like Google, it displays links to pages that it considers relevant and authoritative. Search engines are like librarians for the Internet. They collect information about website pages so they can help people find what they are looking for. Search Engines have secret algorithms for turning all that information into search results. So every word, title, link all matter and it’s important that your site remains fresh and active. Your site needs to be optimised so you rank and therefore feature high up on the list so you can be found easily.

Once you have built my website, will I still need you?

Only if you want to continue to work with me so I can help you to maintain your website. If you want to update it yourself, I can show you how to do some basic changes in a video tutorial.

If you want to move your website to another provider then I can help you to do so though I’ll be sad to see you leave.

Can I change or upgrade my package?

Of course you can, at any time. Get in touch and we can work something out that best suits your needs.

How can you help me to manage my content?

You have complete control over your content and I can help you keep it up to date with an affordable package. Just let me know what changes you need and I can do them for you. I aim to make small changes within 1-2 working days. Bigger changes may need to be scheduled but I endeavour to get them done within 3 working days as this is about the credibility of your website that supports your business.

I routinely monitor websites that businesses would like me to manage and this is that all the latest updates are installed to optimise your website so you don’t have to worry about it!

Can I add content myself?

Yes, of course! Once your website is live, I can pass its control over to you. I will send you a short video on how to make some simple changes yourself.

Why are you so affordable Antony?

Good question. It’s because I can be affordable! I run my own small business and I know what it’s like to be ‘held to ransom’ when you are trying to get yourself established so you can grow your business. We all started small and needed help along the way and that’s what I’m about. I’ve been in IT for 30 years so I’m an experienced specialist who can help others and wants to help others thrive.

How soon can you build my website?

The process is as simple as 1, 2, 3. Once I have your content and I have reviewed it to understand your needs, I can build it quickly. I have just built a 6 page website for an event management company that took less than a week as they were clear on how they wanted it to look and their written content was great and helped by following my guides.

Will my website resize so it looks good on a smart phone, iPad or Tablet?

It certainly will! It’s what users expect and it’s a necessity with all websites. Many people browse the web from a portable device and tend to want information quickly and easily so your site must cater for them.

Can I integrate my Social Media with my Website?

If you’re using platforms like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, I can integrate these with your website.
